DOI Collective is launching the first edition of their CREATIVE LAB!
The Lab is a project outside of the school credit- and point-oriented system designed for art students. It aims to give future artists a different experience, closer to the one they will have after they graduate by providing:
- An idea
- A context
- Art supplies/ material to work with
- Freedom to experiment
- A space for exhibiting
- Curatorial support
- Budget for the exhibition
We invite students in their last year of study (3rd BA or MA) from art schools in Belgium to send a portfolio (5 – 10 works or 2-3 different projects) and a short motivation (explaining in 5 lines why they would like to take part in the project) to: doicollective@gmail.com.
The documents should be sent in one pdf file.
Students need to apply individually. After the selection they will be grouped in two to work together during the whole project.
The project is based in Antwerp and all the meetings will take place there.
